My structural geology class took a field trip to a few sites in New York to look at what happened when proto-North America and Africa crashed into each other.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy and Physics in June of 2006. These are the pictures from the commencement ceremony, and the speech about me from the private Physics and Astronomy departmental ceremony.
The whole family drove to Redding to surprise my aunt who moved down there, and it made for an interesting trip...we got snowed in when they closed I-5 through the Siskyous, and had to meander our way to the California coast on a snow-covered, treacherous highway...hotels right on the beach are cheap in the middle of winter!
Well, my "Principles of Glaciology" class was supposed to go on a field trip to a glacier on Mt. Baker, but my dad and I got lost on the way up there and never found the class, but we still had fun anyway! :)
